Corally 10SL 230/235mm 'Side Links' chassis

Corally have released information about their latest release, the 10SL ‘Side Links’. Shown in prototype form, it is available in a 200mm and 235mm champions kit, in full graphite and undergoes the same transformation as their 12SL chassis, to allow the mounting of LiPo packs. By going from a T-bar to a link, or as Corally are calling it ‘Side Links’, this allows the right amount of space to mount a 1S 3.2V LiPo pack up to a 7.4V stick pack LiPo. The car also features an updated front end and stiffer rear end, compared to its predecessor, that can easily accommodate brushless motors, while a new ‘top deck’ supports to centre shock and also adds extra stiffness to the chassis.

Greyscale Racing MRCG1.1 pan chassis

Greyscale Racing MRCG1.1 pan chassis

Greyscale Racing have released their new 1/28 competition pan chassis, the MRCG1.1. The MRCG1.1 is the highly-anticipated successor to the original MRCG, a car that helped revolutionize the 1/28 racing scene. Built on the same proven layout as the original car, the 1.1 features a 1.5mm woven graphite chassis, geometry updates throughout the car and a refined version of the original Virtual centre Pivot rear suspension that makes the car even stronger, faster, and easier to drive and tune.

Greyscale Racing MRCG1.1 pan chassis

The highlight of a pan car like the MRCG1.1 is the rear suspension. With a new wraparound flex plate design and new rear steer spacers, the Virtual centre Pivot V2 rear suspension is more durable and creates even more corner speed than the original. New mounting locations for side springs allow screw-turn tweak adjustment, and a revised oil damper mounting system makes maintenance a breeze.

The front end features new triangulated A-arms and 2 degrees of caster for quicker, smoother steering. The top brace makes adjustments easy: removing it allows spring, preload, droop and camber adjustments all without removing the kingpin. The unique steering rack, carried over from the original MRCG, features optimized Ackerman, and can be shifted fore and aft to adjust front toe.

Despite its size, the MRCG1.1 is every bit a serious racing chassis. Only the highest quality woven graphite, FRP, and 6061 aluminium alloy are used in its construction. The battery pack is located at the dead centre of the chassis for a perfect weight distribution. The chassis’ weight, CG, and polar moment of inertia have been lowered to the absolute limit, resulting in a car that corners flatter and changes directions faster than any other 1/28 on the market.

Greyscale Racing MRCG1.1 pan chassis

Like its predecessor, the MRCG1.1 features true compatibility with all Mini-Z MR-02 bodies, Kyosho Auto Scale or otherwise. The car uses the same 4 AAA cells and 130-can motor as a Mini-Z, but is compatible with both Mini-Z electronics or aftermarket modular electronics.

The MRCG1.1 is Greyscale Racing’s new ultimate 1/28 pan chassis: with race-proven design, a highly adjustable suspension, and an abundance of useful and unique features, it sets a higher standard for pan cars in an increasingly competitive 1/28 racing scene.

Feature list:
- Built on the race-proven Mini-Z MR-02 platform; uses many MR-02 parts
- Version 2 of our trademark Virtual centre Pivot rear suspension
- Tools-free quick-release battery system designed for endurance racing
- Ultra-low centre of gravity and polar moment of inertia
- 15% weight reduction over MR-02
- 1.5mm quasi-isotropic woven graphite chassis
- 0.8mm FRP flex plates and small chassis parts
- 6061 aluminium alloy used throughout; brilliant orange anodized finish
- Sliding, 1-piece motor mount allows easy gear mesh adjustment
- Unique tierod steering system with optimized Ackerman
- Fully adjustable suspension: spring rate, anti-roll, damping, preload, droop, ride height, roll centre, rear steer, camber and toe
- 94-100mm adjustable wheelbase
- Compatible with Mini-Z MR-02 bodies and polycarbonate bodies

Diggity Designs XLR8-V2 Conversion

Diggity Designs new XLR8-V2 is a carbon fibre and aluminium conversion kit for the Associated TC3 and TC4. The V2 has a newly designed chassis, top-plate, LiPo brace and battery strap for optimzed LiPo and brushless racing. The chassis is narrower with the weight on the battery side moved back to level out the balance of the motor and electronics. The motor cutout is open to allow mounting of any brushless motor, while the LiPo brace can be mounted in one of three positions to help balance the kit out from left to right without adding lots of weight on the battery side. The V2 has a 2.5mm chassis, top-plate, LiPO brace and battery straps (instead of 3mm that is included with the original XLR8) along with 3mm front and rear shock towers. The new chassis and top-plate will help improve performance for asphalt but still keep its performance at top level for carpet racing.

Kyosho Mini-Z F1-GTR Team Schnitzer

Kyosho have released their new McLaren F1-GTR Le Mans Team Schnitzer Mini-Z chassis. A low centre of gravity and high agility are the trademarks of the MR-02 chassis and it is combined with zippy performance and stunning scale looks. The combination of low height, low centre of gravity with mass concentration delivers the critical factors needed in an advanced racing machine.

HPI Racing 1/32nd Scale racers & HB D8 Flux

The Shizuoka show is on this weekend in Japan, and as usual the Japanese companies are out in force showing their new products at their home show. HPI Racing have released a number of new items, the most interesting of which being the new Racing 32 H-01 and H-02 chassis’, which as the name suggests is a new 1/32nd scale racer. The H-02 chassis shown above, is a full race spec version with carbon throughout and is essentially a tiny Cyclone 12X pan car, complete with foam tires. The H-01 is the RTR version of the same car and features lightweight plastics throughout and will come with a beautiful scale body and is supplied with a 2.4Ghz radio system, as well as a charger / workbench. Also new on the same stand from Hot Bodies is the Flux powered version of the World Championship winning D8 buggy. This brushless car is still only a prototype, but from the pictures you can see that it retains the mechanical brake system, has a composite plastic chassis and a forward mounted motor.

We have covered the HPI Formula Ten already but at the Show, HPI showed off the car with replica paint schemes and they look sweet.
